“Ah, the Royal Sapphire!” Rex exclaimed. “I’ve heard it’s hidden in the abandoned section of the city, veiled by shadows and time.”

With Jayden trotting happily beside him, Aiden raced to the derelict part of the city. The streets were lined with crumbling buildings, but as they searched, they came across an old mural depicting the sapphire. Suddenly, the ground shook, and from the shadows, emerged a gnarled creature of darkness that knew their presence.

Aiden flew through the city, calling out. “Talking animals! Where are you?”

Soon, he stumbled upon a wise old owl perched atop a lamppost, "I can guide you," it said, "but first, answer this: What flies without wings?"

“A thought!” Aiden responded, remembering how his dreams lifted him.

“Very well,” replied the owl. “I shall join you.”

Next, they found a clever fox who spoke with the charm of a great storyteller. “I’ll help if you can solve my riddling rhyme.” Aiden listened intently, solving the riddle with ease, and soon, the fox followed.

Finally, in the park, they encountered a proud talking parrot. “Are you brave enough to take on the dark?” it squawked. Aiden, feeling empowered with his newly gained companions, responded with a determined yes.

With their forces united, they prepared to confront the lurking shadow. Together, they ventured deep into the old city where dark alleys twisted into shadows. As they faced the shadow, it roared with fury and despair, but Aiden stepped forward, arms outstretched. “With friendship and courage, you can’t win!”
