Westin and the Tooth Fairy’s Secret
Westin was a brave little boy who loved exploring his bustling city filled with shiny skyscrapers and bright yellow taxis zooming by. Today, however, was a bit different. This morning, the dentist took out Westin's two front teeth, and although he was brave through it all, his heart felt heavy, like a balloon slowly drifting to the ground.
As night fell, Westin sat on his bed, snuggled in his superhero pajamas. "Tonight, something magical is happening," his mom whispered softly. "The Tooth Fairy is coming!"
Westin's eyes sparkled with curiosity. “What does she do?” he asked, his heart racing a little with excitement.
“Ah,” his mom said, leaning in closer, “the Tooth Fairy isn’t just a fairy with glitter—she’s the Keeper of the Stars! She needs children’s teeth to make fairy dust, and that dust is what makes the stars twinkle.” Westin’s eyes widened as he imagined the stars dancing in the night sky.
“Why does she need my teeth?” he pressed on, perched on the edge of his bed.
“Well, my brave Westin, the twinkle in the stars keeps magic alive in our world. It makes wishes come true, fireflies glow, and even rainbows shine brighter! Your teeth are special treasures that help her create that magic.”
Feeling important, Westin placed the little pouch holding his teeth under his pillow, ready for the Tooth Fairy’s visit. "And what will she leave me?" he asked with a hopeful grin.
“She'll leave you shiny money as a thank-you gift for helping her keep the world full of light and magic! And tomorrow night, when you look up at the sky, find the brightest star. It will be twinkling extra bright, just for you,” his mom assured him.
As Westin brushed his teeth with some extra care, he thought of glittery fairies and bright stars, feeling a sense of joy bubbling up inside him. He imagined all the magical dreams the Tooth Fairy would send his way as he closed his eyes tight.
Before long, Westin drifted off to sleep, welcomed by dreams of adventure. He dreamt of flying over the glittering skyline in the arms of the Tooth Fairy, who sprinkled her fairy dust all around. Together, they twinkled under the moonlight, laughing and sharing secrets.
When morning came, the first thing Westin noticed was the silver coin glimmering in the pouch. He leapt out of bed and raced to the window, looking up at the sky. His breath caught as he spotted the brightest star twinkling brightly—a star that seemed to be winking back at him, just as his mom promised.
From that day forward, Westin was never afraid of the dentist again. He knew that bravery was a treasure and that his smile could bring magic to the world. And every time he looked up at the twinkling stars, he felt a sprinkle of fairy dust and a whisper of courage filling his heart.
