The Midnight Zoo

Isabella loved the zoo more than anything else. Each weekend, she wandered its winding paths, her imagination transforming it into a magical realm filled with whispering trees and talking animals. But on this particular Friday, as dusk settled, she discovered a secret gate hidden behind the tall bushes near the lion’s exhibit. Isabella, though frightened, stood tall. “What secrets?” she asked, her curiosity bubbling over her fear.

“Follow me, and find out,” Leo beckoned, leading her deeper into the zoo where cages glowed with a strange ambiance. Each cage held a marvel: glowing penguins that danced with the moonlight, shimmering snakes that whispered ancient tales, and even a wise owl who recited riddles under the stars.

However, all was not well. A dark cloud loomed over the southern corner of the zoo where the animals were restless and forlorn. “That is the Shadow’s Lair,” Leo warned. “A once-glorious part of our home now forgotten and filled with sadness. You must help us bring back the joy.”

Isabella's heart fluttered. “But how can I help?”

“Gather the courage in your heart and face the shadows. Only love can brighten this dark space.”

With determination, Isabella approached the Shadow’s Lair. She could feel the chill in the air as she whispered, “You are not forgotten. We remember you!” Suddenly, the shadows twisted and curled, revealing frightened creatures longing for connection.
